Sponge iron kilns: get the temperature right
A DRI plant usually needs three belt types: SAR for ore and coal feed, SHR where the product is warm, and UHR right at the cooler discharge where hot pieces can reach the belt. If you are replacing a belt that hardened and cracked within months, the grade was probably too low for the temperature. Measure the material temperature on the belt surface and share it with us before ordering.
